Choosing a name for your business
Your business name is your most basic and primary means of advertising your services or products. It says who and what you are.
Clever, catchy names may be more easily remembered. However, be sure your business name doesn’t confuse or mislead. Potential clients should not be left thinking "Huh?" when they hear your name.
Make sure your name relates to your product and reveals what you are selling. How many times have you seen a name on a building and wondered what they made or sold?
Your name should also be able to grow with you. Will it still work 20 years from now when your business has expanded in unexpected ways?
How do you select the right name? Choose your name the way the professionals do! A professional marketing agency brainstorms to produce several potential names. Then they poll the public to discover the most popular name. They look for a name that will be easily recognized and remembered and projects the most positive image.
Survey participants are asked to choose their favorite name based on first, second and third choices. The first choice often varies widely. However, a consensus often appears on the second or third choice. The name that appears most often is the one that is selected.
How do you brainstorm? Brainstorming should be fun. The idea is to generate creative ideas, so you must be in a fun, creative frame of mind for it to work best. Although you can brainstorm alone, it is more fun to make a party of it.
Get some friends together. This allows a variety of perspectives. Add festive elements such as wine, food and music. Now, think of as many words as you can that are associated with your service. Include descriptive words that define how the product makes you feel.
Write everything down, no matter how silly it may seem at first. The most off-hand comments often initiate the most inspired results. Make a list of the most likely word combinations and names. Then conduct a survey of at least twenty people to determine the most popular name.
Each person may choose a different name as their favorite, but a general consensus will often form on the second choice. The consensus is the name you choose.
One way to ensure your business success is to make certain the business name name suits your destiny. To do this use Numerology.
Add up the numbers that comprise your birthdate. For example, December 20, 1965 would be 12 + 20 + 21 = 53. Keep reducing the numbers until you have a single digit. 5 + 3 = 8. This is your destiny vibration. If the numbers add up to 11, 22 or 33 do not reduce them to single digit.
Now, add up the letters of your business name. For example, MediaArt would be 4 + 5 + 4 + 9 + 1 + 1 + 9+ 2 = 35 = 8 In this case, both the birth date and the business name are an 8. They match. MediaArt would have a greater chance of success because the vibrations complement each other. ~~
